BODY PANEL FITMENT Aligning The Vent Window In A 65-68 Mustang The trick is to take two measurements BEFORE you remove the vent window frame from the door. By measuring from the rear edge of the door's sheetmetal skin to the very top point of the vent window, and then to the line at the base of the vent window frame, you establish a reference point where the window should be positioned when reinstalled. Document the dimensions on BOTH DOORS before you take them apart and reassembly will be a snap. |

DOOR MIRROR PLACEMENT Two different mirrors were available, Remote of Fixed Fixed mirror is shown on the blue car. Front screw is exactly 10" behind the edge of the door, as measured along the center of the trough in the door. Remote mirror is completely different as far as screw placement goes. Rear screw is 16-1/2" behind the edge of the door, as measured along the center of the trough in the door. The main thing to watch out for is that you can actually open the wing window after the mirror is attached. Both of these positions as measured were on ORIGINAL cars. |
