Road Trip to Springfield
December 8-10, 2005
Pg. 5
Finally, we have tires with air in them, a master cylinder with fluid in it (but still NO rear brakes) and an interior above the freezing mark.  It is time to head out on the road towards home.
The view on the way south towards St. Louis
This leg of the trip from Springfield to St Louis was fairly uneventful.  The car ran fine, the front brakes would stop the car if you left PLENTY of following distance, and we were not freezing.  DID I MENTION THE HEATER DID NOT WORK?

We got to St. Louis just in time for rush hour traffic.  I have never seen so many eighteen wheelers in my entire life.  Apparently every trucker in the country uses the old Route 66, now Interstate 44, as their main route.
We were making such good time we decided to stop and visit the arch in St. Louis.
Parked next to the Mississippi River by the arch.

The new ballpark currently under construction in St Louis.
Steve says this is the reason he will NEVER live where it gets cold, and WHEN DO WE LEAVE?
Tim says this is the reason he no longer lives where it gets cold
